The village hall is managed by a voluntary management committee, with the purpose to provide and maintain a village hall for the use of the local residents. It has no distinction of political, religious or other opinions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The hall is available to use for meetings, lectures, classes and for other forms of recreational leisure time occupation to improve the condition of life of the local community. Local residents are permitted to hire the hall for private functions and the management committee run events through the year to fund the maintenance of the hall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first Brocton Village Hall was established in 1921, originally serving as a wooden Officers’ dining hall relocated from the Prisoner of War Camp on Anson’s Bank, Cannock Chase. This humble beginning laid the foundation for what would become a central hub in our village.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 1953, the community came together once again, using leftover funds from the Coronation celebrations to purchase the freehold of the land on which the current village hall stands. Planning began shortly thereafter, but the construction wasn\u2019t completed until the early 1960s. As our community continued to grow, a side extension was added in 1981 to accommodate our expanding needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
